In this era of fast, cheap, processed food, we often don’t know where our food comes from. Here at A Table Outside, we’re keen to address this by bringing people together in an immersive way to celebrate the cream of Surrey’s food and drink movement. We set up our long table in farms, vineyards and other beautiful places throughout the county to connect people with the growers who produce our food. At each event, the star of the show is the food grown or raised in the field in which we sit.
Surrey born and bred, Bernadette Keane spent 15 years creating award-winning copy for London agencies before managing marketing and events for a local community garden. In 2018, she took the plunge and created A Table Outside.
Daniel Britten’s cooking is synonymous with Surrey. After reaching the quarter finals of Masterchef in 2008, he went on to win Surrey Life Magazine’s Best Local Menu and has been nominated twice for Surrey Chef of the Year.
Surrey chef Laura Scott is a cookery tutor, blogger and host of the popular Epsom Supper Club, featured in The Guardian, Marie Claire and Waitrose Weekend. Influenced by the growing season, Laura is renowned for her sublime flavour combinations.
